There are a series of applications that are focused on converting 3D content into interactive Virtual Reality (VR) environments. Some applications are currently focused on a direct conversion of a model into a VR headset or online experience. Getting content into a Game Engine or Rendering Engine is another method that allows more flexibility, but may carry interoperability challenges or take some additional time. Please review the Workflows to see if there are documented workflows that assist in moving models into Game engine environments.
Direct Applications for 3D Model to VR Environment (mostly head mounted displays or onscreen / online):

3 Screen Display in 107107 Engr Unit B
    107 Engineering Unit B now
has 3-screen presentation ability similarbeen converted to that found in the ICon Lab, 306 Engineering Unit C.
    To use the three-screen setup
Upon logging into the computer, you'll see two icons on the desktop, "1 Screen" and "3 Screens". If you wish to utilize all 3 screens, turn on all three projectors, then open the "3 Screen" shortcut to change the resolution to support three screens.
Once finished, you should use the "1 Screen" shortcut to change the resolution back and power down the projectors no longer needed.
Each projector is configured to use "Input 1" to receive the video feed from the computer. If no display is visible, use the "Input" button on the projector to find "Input 1".
    See for yourself
Go to the 3 Screen Presentations page for information and tips regarding the creation and effective delivery of 3 screen presentations.
    Limitations
When in 3-screen resolution, the monitor on the podium only displays the center screen output.
The three-screen setup is not designed to give the appearance of one continuous display as in the ICon lab. Therefore, you may not want images spanning displays.
    How it works
    Through the use of
a Matrox Triple Head2Go, the computer sees the primary display as a display capable of resolutions up to 3072 x 768. The Matrox then splits t his signal to three 1024 x 768 displays. Other resolutions are available as
well, through "Display" in the Windows Control Panel.

Preparing for Presentations in the ICon Lab
For your practice session, you will need to make sure that the display screens are turned on and the input source is correct. To do this, perform the following:
    ...
For recommendations regarding presentation development and format, see the 3 Screen Presentations page.
For information regarding the presentation locations, see the Immersive Construction Lab or 302 Engineering Unit B pages.
If you have any difficulties with the projectors, e.g., not working correctly or the colors not rendering correctly, then reset the video switch. There are very easy instructions for resetting the video switch contained in a PDF file that is posted on the desktop. Please open the PDF file, go to the website address, enter the password (in PDF file), and then 'Cycle All Outlets'. It should only take 30 seconds for the switch to reset, which solves a vast majority of projection issues.
For further information on the AMX touch panel and changing sources refer to the ICon Lab page.
